Whoa: Newsweek’s Latest Cover May Surprise You

Now, we all know Newsweek isn’t shy when it comes to controversial cover photos and headline stories. Indeed, on more than a few occasions, Newsweek Editor Tina Brown has had to defend the magazine’s less-than-flattering photos and oftentimes incendiary articles.

Everyone’s also familiar with the publication’s left-leaning tendencies, right? Right.

Newsweek’s latest cover story comes from none other than noted historian Niall Ferguson. The article, titled “Hit the Road, Barack,” argues that President Obama has proven that he‘s an economic illiterate and that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his running mate Paul Ryan’s “path to prosperity is our only hope.”

“Unemployment was supposed to be 6 percent by now. It has averaged 8.2 percent this year so far. Meanwhile real median annual household income has dropped more than 5 percent since June 2009. Nearly 110 million individuals received a welfare benefit in 2011, mostly Medicaid or food stamps,” writes Ferguson.

“Welcome to Obama’s America,” he adds.

“America under this president is a superpower in retreat, if not retirement. Small wonder 46 percent of Americans — and 63 percent of Chinese  — believe that China already has replaced the U.S. as the world’s leading superpower or eventually will.”

Ferguson makes the case that the alternative to President Obama’s “Hopenchange” machine, though not the strongest he has ever seen, is infinitely preferable for the health of the U.S. economy:

Mitt Romney is not the best candidate for the presidency I can imagine. But he was clearly the best of the Republican contenders for the nomination. He brings to the presidency precisely the kind of experience — both in the business world and in executive office — that Barack Obama manifestly lacked four years ago. (If only Obama had worked at Bain Capital for a few years, instead of as a community organizer in Chicago, he might understand exactly why the private sector is not “doing fine” right now.)

“And by picking Ryan as his running mate, Romney has given the first real sign that—unlike Obama—he is a courageous leader who will not duck the challenges America faces,” Ferguson adds.

Wow & Wow. When a left-leaning media outlet finally admits that the Golden Boy isn’t so golden I gotta believe one of two things:
    1) There is truly is hope for America
    2) Thnings are ALOT worse than even I thought.

I know, I saw this at 5 am this morning and thought to myself, The Tide is Turning. I have this posted on all three blogs cause I believe this is a break through of sorts for our side and is definitely going to give some Independents pause as they make up their minds.

When a member of the Kennedy clan comes out against Obama,….one has to take notice.
Now watch them attack her, if they dare.

When you really think about it, AFVET, I am quite certain there is no love lost between the blue blood Dems of the Kennedy Clan ilk and the Chicago gangsta Dems to start with. Carolyn is finally admitting that she doesn’t like the power shift in the party.

“the power shift in the party.”
I agree, but you have to agree that the bloom is off the rose.
Obama has never been confronted with this level of controversy in his life, and it would be far worse if the media was at the very least moderate in their views and coverage.

Perhaps the Kennedy’s do see the democratic party being torn apart by an amateur and their only hope is that they can wait in the wings and regain some semblance of power in the future.
Daddy Kennedy made his money as a bootlegger.
          Crooks, all of them.

Romney has been questioned about his suspected off-shore accounts,…what about the Kennedy’s ?
Rarely hear about that do you, although it has been well known for years.

The power shift in the Country is eminent, just waiting for US on November 6, 2012.

Between the Newsweek article and Caroline Kennedy’s remark, I would have to say Barry’s little ego has to be a bit bruised these days. I would love to see him “Snap” during the Debates.
I would bet he will be given an advance peek at the questions being he will be Teleprompterlis. lol

I am with Caroline on this, I hate his voice. It is like nails scratching on the chalk board. Since Obama belong, so it has been said, to the New Party this is his beliefs.

Muse, I not only hate his voice I hate is walk. Ever watch him coming off Air Scare One? He holds his hands up just above his waist and hops down those stairs looking like a Kangaroo.

Obama is too wimpy to be called a man. Someone must have told Obama that his hopping shows everyone how athletic he is! Wouldn’t it be funny if he tripped! I would be the first one laughing and hitting the replay button!

As many of you already know Israel is expected to strike Iran come October and has begun building up its defenses on the Egyptian Boarder. What you may not know is that Barack Obama will engage the US in this conflict if his poll numbers continue to be low thus giving him the right to use the War Powers Act to Cancel the November Elections.

I am predicting he will do just that rather then face a loss in the election. Once again, I am hoping I am wrong about this.
